Hi again, I have another question, how do you display your glitter tattoo designs? Do you just have the stencils on a board or do you do a trial of each one and take a photo of it? I am struggling to get photos of my designs that look as good as they do in real life photos don't do the tattoos justice!

I Freehand Glitter Tattoo onto Paper for display, works well for me as it gives people and idea of what the finished article looks like, then I have a book full of stencils to choose from and some free hand designs in there too. Stencils are nearly always more popular I find which is a shame ... I love free hand glitter tatts!

Jemma, what do you use to apply the glue when you free hand? I keep thinking I want to try it, but haven't gotten up the guts yet. Wink

I am using prosaide and disposable lip brushes from Charles Fox, which I then trim down a bit. Disposable eyeliner brushes are good too, I like the foam ones, but you have to reload quite regularly. I get quite a few uses out of each too, the lip brushes sort of end up forming their own point. I am also trying to master prosaide in a puffer bottle with a metal henna tip on but bubble form at the end and ruin everything,no matter how hard I try and get rid of any air!

Thanks everyone, I think I am going to go with just putting a couple of sample ones done with glitter and then just stick stencils on a board. I like the suggestion on faketoos site to do a sheet with all your colours on so people can see them properly so going to do that too.

Loola have you tried making a mehndi/henna cone and putting glue in that, if you keep it tightly rolled at the top it might eliminate the bubble problem? For freehand glitter designs I just use a fine tipped paint brush, it seems to give good clean lines, I am struggling with what to use to clean them though!

Thats why I use the disposables, Get a good few uses out of them, santise them in between but don't really get the goop off, then throw them away when they get too gooey!
I have never tried any henna at all, but it sounds like a very sensible idea!

Does anyone tint their adhesive? I am thinking about attempting a torso and it would be nice to see the adhesive placement a bit more

For the display, I laid out my stencils on my printer and printed it out on colored cardstock and framed it in a stand up frame. I could fit about 10 on a page.

I believe Shannon (but maybe somebody else) puts a bit of paint in her adhesive to tint it.

I have put a little body paint in my adhesive but need to add a little more I think as it isn't showing up too much, mind you I put in red so the glue went pink and it blends against my skin, thinking might be better with blue?

I read some where some horror stories about the glue going mouldy from people adding snazz ... scared me so thought I'd ask here! I may try a drop or two of my liquid kryolan aqua colour.

For a while, I used some posters I made from Walgreens. I took pictures of a variety of the tattoos and made a collage poster online and had it printed at my Walgreens. It was a nice professional way to show a sample of tattoos.

I then had a picture of each tattoo design in photo albums.
