Erica where can we get the moonlight glue in the states
Re: best glue?
I use it in the pen just fine...I added just a tad of water and it seems to help. Just be careful not to add to much or it may affect the strength and quality of the glue. Yes Barb, the link is http://www.infiniteartbody.com/main.sc I embedded it in the word "here" above, sorry for the confusion...
Re: best glue?
ok - I tried transferring it to my pen and made a huge mess. I will try adding it to my smaller pen.
Re: best glue?
Yea, it was very tedious. I had to go super slow because of the thickness of the glue. Just take your time or it won't go down in the pen...
Re: best glue?
Actually I just realized that I tried adding it to my empty lipgloss container which has a smaller opening than the pen (it’s bottlenecked, so as to rub excess off applicator). The opening to the pens is slightly larger but I’m sure it will still be challenging, thanks for the heads-up.
Re: best glue?
Hell, even trying to refill the moonlight bottles is a PIA! The glue is just so thick, I think that's what gives it it's lasting power though. I swear I had Hello Kitty on my ankle for 3 weeks! And that was with shaving over it, eventually got sick of it and had to remove it lol.
Re: best glue?
I can't really remember lol I do both and it always lasts a pretty long time. I have actually had parents call me asking how to get them off. I have removal instructions for paint on the back of my card but I need to order some special ones for the glitter tattoos to. I do PREFER to let the glue get almost dry though because my brushes don't get all gunked up.

Same thing with me. I find myself taking them off more othen then the tattoo falling off. I get tan marks left over where the tattoo was.

Re: best glue?
I don’t remove the stencil until after I apply the glitter, so no worries about smudging it.

This.faketoos wrote:As far as how long to wait, the surface of the tatt is dry and touchable almost instantly, at least as far as not being a problem for smearing or glitter coming off. The trick is that the glue in BETWEEN the glitter layer and the skin will take some time to "cure", because it is mostly cut off from the surrounding air. I usually recommend an hour before any kind of water exposure.
Re: best glue?
Julie, that's what I always tell the client when I am applying the tattoo - wait at least an hour so the glue can continue to bond...
I always have Tulip glue applicators on hand... because they are quite inexpensive when you use a 40-50% off coupon at Michael's, A.C. Moore or Hobby Lobby. But my primary go-to glue is now a refillable lip gloss applicator and a large bottle of Prosaide, which seems much runnier these days.
Never had an issue with the Tulip glue not staying. Are you prepping the skin correctly? I've had tattoos stay on my 'vintage' skin for 3 weeks with both Tulip and Prosaide.

Re: best glue?
Pros- Aide ~ bought from Krylon store last week friday, tried it same day & have had my tat since on my foot... i like it lots! its a little runny but ok bcus it dries easier.
Amerikan Body Art ~haven't tried
Glimmer ~haven't tried
tulip ~doesn't seem to stay on for me
moonlight ~i would like to order the 38 Color Kit, if i knew of a good trusty seller to buy from
Silly Farm ~don't think it lasted long.
I think that having your tat in certain places also plays part to it lasting a long time. Of course if you have on your arm and wear jackets, your rubbing it off over time.
